7 : Magnification Shortcut

In many problems, when you need to find the magnification ((M)) of an image formed by a lens or mirror, you can use the formula $(M = - \frac{v}{u}),$ where (v) is the image distance and (u) is the object distance.
The negative sign indicates inversion.
